Privacy Policy

Plain English Dictionary for iOS · Effective 2 September 2026

Plain English Dictionary is an offline English dictionary. This page explains what information is handled when you use the app, and by whom.

What the app itself collects

Nothing. The app does not ask you to create an account and does not send any information to us.

Advertising and analytics

The app is free and supported by advertising. To serve ads and to understand how the app is used, it includes two software development kits (SDKs) from Google:

These SDKs may collect information such as your device type and operating system version, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, identifiers tied to your device or app installation, and how you interact with ads and with the app. This information is sent to Google and handled under Google's Privacy Policy. You can read more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

The app does not request permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, so it does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Your choices

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
